Does anyone know what brand the Fiesta's premium sound system is? It's so integrated into the electronics of the car, do you think it can be upgraded? Maybe it's good enough - I'm not really an audiophile per se, but my last car's standard audio was not really good enough for me. Upgrading with something from best buy just ended up disabling all of the various door chimes and alarms in the car.

Is it too soon to be looking for upgrades?

I was 100% blown away with the sound quality of the premium sound in the Fiesta. I thought the EU car was good, but this system is far better. Totally impressed.

My first two cars had AM single speaker radios. About $40 extra for my Corvair in 1965. I think about $200 in todays dollars.
AM/FM was almost $100. Very rare. Only seen one for the Corvair. We've come a long way.

Specwise per the sales brochures and website:

- 6 speakers with 2 midwoofers, 2 tweeters and 2 full-range speakers in rear
- 80 watts

I can only assume maybe the speakers would be a start. I'm sure the audio companies are working on something, and hopefully they'll be doing up some Fiestas :)

I'm really happy to hear that the premium sound is actually very good. Maybe I can wait until my midlife crisis car before installing a BOSE or Boston Acoustic sound system inside of one, but I'm determined to do it once before i die. :)
