Anybody have any opinions on this?

I have used Lucas products for years in heavy diesel engines, and used the fuel additive on my 08 Focus, and still use it on my wife's 2009 Focus. The fuel additive (with upper cylinder lubricant) definately improves mileage. We got 39 mpg in my wifes 09 Focus (equipped with California Emissions) and an auto trans on our last trip to Little Rock.

Contemplating changing the 09 to Lucas 5w-20 Full Syn. Aprehensive about using any of it in the Fiesta until I learn more. The fuel additive works great in the Duratec 2.0.

I don't know anything about Amsoil, other than I have heard it called "Scamsoil" I know Lucas is a good company, been around for years, and Sponsor an NFL stadium, so I feel pretty good about them, and had great luck with their products in my big Detroit's (Series 60 and Cummins M-11 & L-10)
My wifes uncle uses Lucas in his Dodge Cummins and has 400,000 miles.

The Fiesta owners manual says not to use ANY additives.

Opinions?

Ford does not approve ANY oil additives that I'm aware of, on a brand new car you shouldn't need anything as long as the oil is changed at proper intervals.
