In March I had two dealers tell me sometime in April they would have one. Clearly they were wrong.
You should see some at dealers last week in May/first week of June.
This is true. Most dealerships will only have 1-2 Fiestas. Some dealerships will not receive any as they are not allocated any. There better not be too many Fiestas in dealer inventory before my reserved car arrives. I was told back in January that if I didn't order in advance there could be a long wait before dealers have any real inventory.
PS,It gets more confusing.
I was on the Mall in DC today and what do I see but a Ford Fiesta exhibit. (Pics here: Cars at the Climate Rally - a set on Flickr) I mentioned to the Ford rep there that I had one on order and he said that it was already in production and that they were filling up lots all over the place and as soon as Ford gave the go-ahead, they'd ship.
Most other sources say Job. 1 hasn't even happened yet. I don't know what to believe. I'm e-mailing Matt Wolfe for clarification. Meanwhile, my car remains unscheduled. I'm looking into the idea of swapping my reserved car for one that is already in the pipeline.
Management lease starts today, but we must have one week of clean production before we start building customer cars.a Ford dealer in Dearborn told me Job #1 is Monday, 4/26/10.
And that's a good thing. I'd much rather have them work out the bugs on someone elses car.Management lease starts today, but we must have one week of clean production before we start building customer cars.
I emailed the local dealership with your original question, and this is what they told me. The end of May we should see them on the lots. I am excited to get behind the wheel of one of these! You should see some at dealers last week in May/first week of June.
What city?I got an email from my dealership, a Fiesta will be available for a short viewing on the 19th from 10 to 3 pm.
Judging by his location I'd say Sweet Home, Alabama. What city?
It's not what I wanted to hear but it is what I expected. They really don't know when the cars will ship. It's consistent with what all the other Ford employees are (not) saying about the issue. We don't commit to dates due to multiple variables, but approx timing is the next couple months for the cars to show up! ^EA
