Anybody know what bulbs the Fiesta is going to be using? I run HIDs in all my vehicles (car and motorcycle) to cut through the darkness better. Want to have a kit ready as soon as I pick the car up.
I have a conversion kit on my car - replaced my halogen bulbs with 23000 volt xenon lamps.
Dunno if this would work on the Fiesta (the EU version has polyellipoidal lights like my car, but this is not neccessary for xenon to work, though it looks nicer!).
the US ones don't get the projector style headlamps like the EU version, but they can be found on eBay UK. Not sure if the mounting locations are the same.
Hopefully they will update my parts catalog soon. That way I can get all the specs and pricing you guys need. I know a lot have mentioned switch from the chrome "driving" lamps to the black ones, personally I am going to body color mine.
That would be awesome if you could let us know when the parts catalogs come in. The black LED housings should be in the Accessory Catalog for a better price than they are from the actual parts department. Rumors are still going around about a "black-out" version, but don't see it happening in time for my order.
I will work it both ways. But I will sell any and all Ford OEM and accessory parts at wholesale prices to you guys. I started our Inet parts dept. Team Ford Parts Online- Ford OEM Parts at a discount several years ago before I moved into the Sales Manager position I have now. All Ford parts are on average 25-40% off MSRP. I was members of both the Contour and Focus groups and have a great reputation for all my work with memebers there.
I hope my update this month will include parts for the Fiesta. I will shoot and email to Ford Parts cataloging tomorrow and see what I can find out.
Although projectors are "available" on Euro spec cars most of them will still be specced with the free form style lenses we get here with slightly different fluting.
I have a question ...do the US spec headlamps have the integrated parking lamps inside the main beam ?
They do not unfortunately, once again my assumption would be due to lighting regulations. I noticed looking at the Euro Fiestas with their HID's and I wish they had one with Halogens but there are significant changes in the headlamp design on the inside though it might be just because of Halogens and HID's.
Actually there are a number of cars in the USA that DO have them...SAAB, even some older Ford Festivas had them so it can't be due to regs...probably cost.
there are zero Fiesta's sold anywhere with HID lighting. As for the "city light", my EAP SVT Focus came with them from the factory. There are a ton of US cars that have them from the factory. They are on my list of things to add, since I have them integrated into my Mustang and had them on my 2000 Focus ZX3.

If anyone is looking for HID kits, I order my HIDs from a shop in San Diego for about $50 shipped, been a year since I installed them on my bike and still flawless.
