Great to hear that understeer is not a major issue as it is in many front wheel drivers. Sounds like there's an aftermarket opportunity for a short shift kit.

We're postponing replacing my wife's car until next year to give her a chance to experience the Fiesta. She really enjoyed the Top Gear ultimate road test. The major deal breakers or makers for her will be whether it meets her visibility and ergonomic requirements.

If there is anyway I can help answer any ergonomic or visability questions for you and your wife, please let me know! I am happy to help in anyway. Glad you enjoyed the track review, and keep an eye out for the video footage coming soon.

Thanks. Her main visibility concerns are the view out the right rear quarter and the view over her left shoulder when she does a head check prior to a lane change (she doesn't rely only on the side mirrors). In terms of ergonomics I think she'll have to sit in the US seat to determine that.
