Hi all
I attended the Miller Cup Mustang Challenge race at Mid Ohio this past weekend. I checked out the Leo Capaldi Racing activity. LCR provides racing support for two Mustang Challenge privateers, the Ford Facing Mustang Media car #00, and Leo's own car the #4.
At the Mustang Challenge Trailer, where cars are teched, parts are sold, and the hospitality tent is located, was a bright white euro Fiesta. See photo.
The driver was Jeff Feit, Ford engineer for Ford Racing. Jeff is an American Iron racer with his Mustang in the National Auto Sport Association, NASA. Jeff has raced at Mid Ohio a number of times but never spectated. Since my first race at MO was 1967 I showed him around some of the viewing areas. We took the Fiesta for a ride to the infield. I liked the firm ride, the interior, and the car in general.
As an owner of a 2002 SVT Focus, Sonic Blue, 98k miles, driven at least 20 days of on track events, I really like the first impression of the Fiesta.
enough already, here is the picture. enjoy
