I'd be very interested as well.. If this forum is supposed to be a "balanced" site we need a few folks that are willing to let truly different opinions be heard..even if they aren't popular.

It's the pessimist who forces the optimist to progress and improve. Never settle for anything, things can always be better.

Why should that be a factor? Just out of curiosity?
Because if you are going to be deciding what is or isn't viable on a car forum you should have an intrest in owning one. That way you have first hand knowledge of the car and features not second hand knowledge based on other articles and opinions.

But you see I DO actually have an interest in owning one...Maybe not this year but next...

BTW I actually was able to DRIVE A CURRENT GENERATION EU Fiesta when I was in Germany and Austria on business...1.6 L gas manual 5dr....

So I haven't been pulling my opinions out of a magazine or such...I'VE DRIVEN THE ACTUAL CAR!

You have driven a EU Fiesta not a US Fiesta and from your own opinion over the last months are 2 completely different cars because DEARBORNNNN has totally messed up the US version but based on the people on here that already have the US version that doesn't appear to be the case.

LMTech....

I whole heartedly support your ability to have your own personal opinions and post them here on this open forum. Whether I agree with you or not is not the matter of concern as if I will be acting as a moderator it is necessary that ALL members can post opinions freely as long as they abide by the general guidelines of the forums.

I'm certainly not interested in quashing different view points one bit. The more the better!

I'm actually pleased we disagree yet we can both post here as that means FiestaFaction IS a real open forum.

But when you post negatively the majority of the time on an enthusiast website then the general feeling towards that will be that it is not welcome and that isn't and should not be surprising. You also have to realize that the people that post on here are not the only ones on that are reading what is written there may also be people reading this forum trying to make a decision on buying the Fiesta or not. If you go too the front page of the FiestaFaction forums page it always shows that there is always more visitors on here than actual members. Even though it seems that we are gaining more members as every day goes by. I don't want unbased opinions running off someone who may truly enjoy a Fiesta. While you may think that you are bringing a balanced view to the forum I think it is you just trying to get a response.

If you want the Forums here to grow you NEED a range of personalties and viewpoints. I can tell you that if a forum gets nothing but YES men on it it does exactly the opposite when it comes to attracting MORE MEMBERS....it makes the discussing dull and lifeless.

It's unfortunate that people today believe that a negative opinion is somehow a "bad" thing. Far from it.

"Critical thinking" often times begets what people in the US always call a negative opinion. We need more ctirical thinkers in the forums here!

Negative comments are not a bad thing as long as they are based on truth and not from just a way of thinking. That is what talk radio does and while some people just can't turn it off I find it just annoying and can't listen to it more than 5 minutes at a time. Speaking of which if that is your thing the Fiesta offers Sirius radio as an option free for 6 months so you can listen to all the talk radio you want.
