My first Ford, and my first American brand car; previously, BMW, Acura, Subaru and Honda. Ironically, unlike the Fiesta, the Honda Odyssey was manufactured in the USA!
Many BMWs are as well.

(I can't post here. I only have had one car of my own and it's a Ford, hehe.)

I have factory-ordered 2 trucks and one car, and also bought one brand new car off the lot. All Chevrolets from the same local dealer. I also bought two other used cars from the same dealer -- all since 1995. This is the very first NEW Ford for me, although I did own a 88 Taurus for awhile that I bought used.

I think maybe I'll slip over to that Chevy dealer with the Fiesta later this fall when the Cruz makes it's appearance to get a side-by-side comparison. ;)

First Ford, First American (brand at least) in the family. We've only owned Japanese and German cars.

When I do finally become established in whatever I do, I think my garage will consist of only American and British vehicles. Triumph (my bike), GM (Gotta have a CTS-V), Ford (Fiesta of course), Land Rover (Range Rover, need something to haul my bike to the track) and an Aston Martin (V8 Vantage Roadster.....one can dream).

The Fiesta will be new Ford #3 for me, and 6th Ford overall. If it wasn't for the 2000 Focus, I would have been driving a 99 Civic Si or Integra instead.

1984 Mustang (bought when I was 15, still own it)
1989 Tempo (needed a winter car until I could find something better)
2000 Focus ZX3 (1st new car, sold in 2005)
2003 SVT Focus (Bought used from my dad, sold it back to him)
2007 Escape Limited (new, but technically my wifes car)
2011 Fiesta

I had driven a couple Mini Cooper S's, WRX's, and other cars, but none of them I liked better than either of my 2 Focuses. The Fiesta reminds me so much of my ZX3, which is why I fell in love with the car so quickly. I credit the 1st Gen Focus for keeping me in the Ford family. However, driving a number of new Focuses as rentals had me thinking of switching to somebody else.

I learned to drive on my dad's 91 Ford Taurus, but this will be the first Ford I actually own. My previous car was a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero I bought new.

We've been a Ford family ever since that first Taurus 20 years ago. I solidified my black-sheep status by buying that Alero, but now I'm coming back to the fold. :)

1st car Yellow 74 AMC Gremlin that I bought for 1500 bucks in 1981 and rolled it in 30 days then took off the roof with a saw and torch, unbolted the doors and stripped the interior out except the front seats, dash, steering wheel and seatbelts I then used it to run throught the woulds and the only time I got it stuck was once when I high sided the car on a hill. It would outclimb and go through mud holes better than 4X4 trucks because it was so damn light.
2nd car was a Purple 74 Gremlin that I bought for 150 bucks off the side of the road where it stopped running and people had driven buy and broken the windows out by throwing beer bottles at it after is sat there for 2 weeks. I put a set of points in it on the side of the road, tapped on the starter and drove it home, which was 2 miles away and I don't thick anyone saw me. I then took the rear hatch and doors off because the ones off the above YELLOW Gremlin didn't get broken in the roll over. I know what you are thinking and now I don't have any pictures and I never drove it like that because the neighbor across the street from my parents was a paint and body man and it got all the body damage fixed and was painted a very pretty blue for 300 bucks. I drove that all through high school and sold it for 600 bucks.
I bought my first truck used and made my first car payment on the day I graduated high school. It was a 1981 Ford F150 with a 351M V8 and auto.
I traded that in on my first new vehicle an 85 Toyota P/U with 5 speed.
I then got that new truck bug in 1988 and bought a fully loaded Dodge Dakota with an auto and it was the biggest piece of crap that I had ever owned and I payed the dealer 1100 bucks to take it back after only 11 months.
I then bought a used 77 Datsun KingCab 4sp manual that the only thing holding the cab on the frame was gravity and when you hit a puddle in the rain the passenger side floormat would jump up because of the holes in the floor and this truck was better to drive and work with than the Dakota.
I drove this for 2 years while going to college and then bought my 3rd and final new truck that I still have a 92 Ford Ranger Supercab 5speed. This truck I will keep even after I get the Fiesta.
My wife of 12 years has had more new cars since we got married than I have had in my life.
I am currently driving a 99 Grand Marquis that I bought last year for 3500 bucks with only 51000 miles on it and it has full power package and leather seats and most important for city traffic driving an automatic trans. I am trading this in on the Fiesta and I getting 3500 bucks trade in so I figure I am breaking even on that deal.
I also have a current project car that is a 1989 Festiva that I had all the body work done and painted it Sonic Blue after seeing it on a Mustang and it is a great color but after that I heard the Fiesta was coming back out so I put that and the parts car in the garage for a later time and started saving for the new Fiesta.

This will be my second Ford and second new car.

1999 Ford Contour (first got my license, timing belt snapped at 56k)
2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse (great car just didn't have abs or other safety features so I couldn't drive in bad weather)
2009 Mazda 6 (first new car, great handling and more features than you can name. replacing because I need a car with better gas mileage)

This will be my 3rd Ford car, however I'm debating whether I should wait for the 2012 3-door fiesta. The 3-door is just so much better looking, and I'm single with no children so why would I get a 5-door lol.

My first Ford was a US 1976 used Granada sedan ..Ghia LOL

Oh boy was that ever the bad ole days at Dearborn....it is amazing how things have turned around.....

True it was USED BUT at 70k miles perfectly maintained by my Dad.

The engine NEVER idled when cold it, you have to rev it for a couple of minutes then it would idle perfectly..it was the electric choke in the carb but it was a fortune to replace....

Seats were crap!!!! You couldn't even adjust the seat back...I SWEAR not lying it wasn't broken it just never had an adjustment from the factory....

Steering was like it was connected to a rubber band..no feeling at all.

Interestingly the rear stereo speakers were wired into only one channel at the factory...I have no idea why...

Paint gone at 75k even though it was always washed and waxed twice a year.

Never owned a Ford again after that experience...

Now considering the Fiesta and or MKIII Focus..

Dad currently owns a 2005 Ford 500. Which has been a perfectly reliable and trouble free vehicle with very good build quality too.

My first car was a '84 Pontiac Parisenne I purchased off my parents for $1,000 in '92. My next car was a brand new 95 Ford Escort LX 3dr - *but* I needed my dad to co-sign - so the Fiesta will be the first Ford I buy on my own :)

PS: The discussion earlier about why Ford won't bring over the 3 door - I think it has something to do with crash testing. I believe every body configuration needs crash testing and it can cost $$$ to pass. I know that the President of Ford at one time was very interested in bringing the Ka here. Perhaps they are saving a spot for it?
