Looks like a 08+ newer Focus sedan got mixed up with a Fiesta after a Poison Concert and this was the result. I would rather ride a donkey than drive that car.

They tried to graft on design elements from the latest Fiesta to the previous generation Fiesta, frankly it looks horrid!

This nonsense reminds me of the US monster we currently have (MKI Focus 08+) a fugly redesign that takes the great original MKI Focus and turned it into a turd with less nimble handling to boot!

The previous Fiesta was a really really good product ! Why didn't Ford just make small changes to the that model and allow it to soldier on until they get the latest model?

I gotta say that Ford (in the third world markets like our own) loves to pull this kind of crap. Honestly I don't understand why Ford didn't just offer the latest Fiesta (from the Mexican plant) in Argentina..if cost was a consideration.

I'm not sure why they still do this in the age of ONE FORD. They didn't even match it with the Figo. They should have one global low-cost car or they could have done a de-contented version of the world Fiesta for developing markets.

This is what I am talking about....

Frankly this kind of thing makes Mulally look BAD! Really BAD!!!!

Truth in advertising IS important.

I too think that Ford could simply offer a decontented version of the latest Fiesta for South America.

I don't recall Ford saying that every single one of their cars was going to be a global player. Having two different versions of previous-gen Fiestas for different markets isn't horrible and it's not going to reflect on Mulally at all, it's just strange and redundant.

I think it's ok that Ford has modified previous-gen Fiestas for poorer markets, it's just odd that there isn't one global previous-gen Fiesta variant.

I can spot one important difference between the Figo and Brazilian Fiesta though: the latter is noticeably higher off the ground - Brazil's roads are much rougher than America's (or India's, I guess) so that would be a necessary change.
