I'm not sure why they still do this in the age of ONE FORD. They didn't even match it with the Figo. They should have one global low-cost car or they could have done a de-contented version of the world Fiesta for developing markets.
I don't recall Ford saying that every single one of their cars was going to be a global player. Having two different versions of previous-gen Fiestas for different markets isn't horrible and it's not going to reflect on Mulally at all, it's just strange and redundant.This is what I am talking about....
Frankly this kind of thing makes Mulally look BAD! Really BAD!!!!
Truth in advertising IS important.
I too think that Ford could simply offer a decontented version of the latest Fiesta for South America.
