Greetings all!
First I must thank my brother in law, who along with splitting 4 cords of wood in 110 degree heat helped me remove this after the 2 log splitters we rented broke. Yes, he hates me a little.
I removed my front bumper to install the SFE Grille Blockers mod for more fuel effiency. The parts I used were 4.5mm, 8mm, 9mm sockets, phillips and flathead screwdrivers and a screwdriver snake. Finding no pictures, I decided to take some. Hopefully this helps
The first picture is of my car raised, I borrowed some ramps from a friend at work and they helped out since the car was so low.
Looking back on it, I should have removed the screws in the wheel well first (picture 5) (when i was able to move the wheels)
Picture 2 is of the pop up screws to detatch the top part of the grille from the car. There are eight (8) pop up screws and they are easily popped off into two (2) parts with a flathead screwdriver.
Picture 3 is of the screws you must remove to move the headlights to access the screws to remove the bumper.
Picture 4 is simply of the lights off the car, GO HEAT!!
[
Picture 5 is of the driver's side wheel well. There are 2 MAYBE 3 screws that you need to remove to detatch the bumper from the wheel well cover. The 3rd possible screw is towards the top part of the wheel well.
Also you must remove the rest of the screws from underneath the car\ pop the 2 retaining tabs. These are the screws that run along the bottom of the bumper to remove it from the shielding. Sorry forgot to take a picture :-(
Picture 6 is where it starts gettin deep. Picture 6 is after you remove the headlights to access the screws holding the bumper to the fender. there are 3 screws, 2 facing you, 1 that you have to access underneath
Picture 7 is an upclose picture of the screws you must remove
Picture 8 is the view from the wheel well to access the red screw
Picture 9 is of the bumper removed before i installed the SFE Grille Blocker
At this point we were pretty tired. I also took these pictures a week ago so hopefully I remembered anything. If anyone has a question PLEASE feel free to pm me and I'll be glad to help.
