hmm, that should make the Fiesta a little quicker. :D

Fantastic work on the fabrication! I have seen a few pictures posted, and it is all top notch work.
Here's our new powerplant. A Focus 2.3l Duratec with a turbo, 500 whp. Should be on the track in Febuary.

Are those.. ITBs?... I think I just came.
No, not ITB's. It's a Cosworth copy intake manifold. We're installing 8 injectors. 4 "stock flow" will be in the stock location and 4 "high flow" will be pointing directly into the trumpets. I had to machine the manifold to install the additional injectors and I just couldn't do that to an $800 Cosworth manifold.

We're going to manufacturing a complete 2.3l Duratec swap kit. I know that not many will do this, but since we're making it for our car, we decided to make some extras.
How different is the Fiesta 1.6 from the current/previous gen Focus 2.0l engine?
Would be nice to have a 2.0 that can be controlled by the Fiesta electronics. Just a simple mechanical swap.
I am from the world of Subaru where everything is interchangable. They are often referred to as automotive lego. Would be nice to have that in the Fiesta.
best cold air intake for the price...some are on ebay

Wanting to get one for my 2012....most recommended cold air intake???

i just got an erection ...

update please.. now im really motivated.
Wow! I can't wait to see this thing ripple some asphalt!
Now this is what I am talking about.

What are you running for a turbo and boost numbers?

I assume those are Brembo's, or are they wilwoods? What are you running for rear brakes?

Wowwww! A Lapp GT500 Fiesta, way to represent, would love to see it eat a Nissan GT-R to name but one of many. What a Beast!!!

The turbo is a GT35. We will be running 20lbs boost. We are running Wilwoods all around. For now, they are the Fiesta Wilwood kit. We will be running Mazda3 hubs/knuckles soon. We'll keep the 6 piston fronts but upgrade the rears to 4 piston. We will be running Enkei 17 x 10 wheels. The car will be around 12" wider and 16" longer. It will be using a custom front splitter, fender flares and a rear diffuser.

Great work on the car man i love it..i can't wait to see it all together and running....whats the cost of the build so far im sure its been a little spendy
I am confused by the direction that this thread has gone in, talking about power/weight ratios and comparisons of the engine to other engines and showing a 2.3l focus with a built engine. Then I saw people say how it will lower your fuel efficiency or hurt the value of the car or drive aggressive or something of that nature.

All I am saying is that the question was how to make the car faster. My suggestions are to change the intake manifold because its just cheap plastic, CAI, full exhaust for a start. I haven't seen any aftermarket cams, heads, piston and rod kits, turbo kit, supercharger kit, or even any information for anybody to bore and stroke the engine. But these are the things that will make you faster as far as horsepower and freeing up your engine. You also may want to change your gear ratio and whenever they start producing the ECU reflashing programs that would help too. get a nice fat set of tires and a short shift kit and your on your way.

If anybody has any information on a 1.6l intake manifold made of aluminum or any kind of metal available for purchase please let me know.

Are you running stock? All i have is an aftermarket exhaust and I've either maxed out or peaked the gov at xxx on a flat road.

~nehle!~

Me? I am running stock. Other than my exhaust which isnt really an engine modification.
Although I do not suggest this.
You could drop it from a plane.

It should get up to about 357.5 MPH.

Nope, terminal velocity is about 125, and the Fiesta does almost that on level ground without being completely destroyed at the end.

I would have to side with Dave..
Side with him? What? Terminal velocity is about 125-130. Nothing is going to fall at 350mph.

That's strange... And I'm sure Felix Baumgartner would disagree. He achieved approximately 843.6 miles per hour skydiving from 127,852.4 ft above Earth.

Undercarriage down, yes you are correct. It is about 122mph. But nose down is a lot more aerodynamic and much higher speeds can be attained.
