And I'm pretty sure the Fiesta, as nicely streamlined as it is, ain't quite as streamlined as that guy was in his specially designed outfit. It's all about wind resistance. A normal human will only fall at 120mph, and he's a lot more streamlined than a vehicle. It's already been tested, a free falling car falls at about 125 mph. There are videos of humans freefalling next to cars, and they are the same speed. So I rest my case: no way would the Fiesta fall at 350mph. It would fall at the same speed every other car dropped from a plane fell at, about 125, same as a human.

Video proof:

I am not sure that you are correct.
However my response was funnier. :D

A human falling flat on his (or her) belly will fall at 120mph. By pulling his or her limbs in and becoming more aerodynamic, a human can accelerate past 200mph.
I am confused how this is relative... are we racing from skydiving vehicles now?
Terminal Velocity is a bitch... If you want speed get something with 2 wheels and four cylinders. There are always trade-offs when modding.... The only way to go really fast with the fiesta involves NO2 or Forced induction, and you'll still get beat by other faster showroom vehicles.. AND you'll lose economy.

I wouldn't mind sparing some MPG. And if you have any information on forced induction, let me know. lappracing showed me a kit for a supercharger I will most likely invest in eventually.
Having just swapped-out my '64 VW bus for a fiesta, it feels like a rocket!
The bus has the same displacement of 1600cc's, but generated a WHOPPING...54hp.

Ok, back to the topic at hand...

Just want to accelerate fast(er)!

unless you were on a closed course, like a race track, please don't post any activity on this forum about speeding or breaking laws. I will give this to you as a warning.
Buy an ST or add FI to it. Otherwise, you are wasting money

I guess you have a pretty long driveway!!!

If you want to go any faster then that you might have to throw it off a cliff or something like that!

I don't see the need for going that fast for long.... unless it is the autobahn but I think it is all about 0-100mph
Thurbooo

4-8psi wouldn't hurt it.
I wonder how the stock EFI can cope with forced induction.

Wow...6 posts and I'm already on time-out.
Allow me to clarify then, I got it up to 57.5 twice.

Oh ya...pfft!
Nothing short of an engine swap is going to make this thing any faster. It's an econobox, know what you bought lol.

The FiST's 1.6t fits nicely in a Fiesta engine bay. Even has the same mounts and brackets too! beyond that, none of the larger Ford engines will bolt in with any amount of ease. With liquid money and fab work you might be able to get a FoST/FoRS engine in there, but it's honestly not worth the effort. If you really want more power, source yourself some FiST parts and bolt them onto the 1.6NA. These days a stock ECU can compensate for roughly 5-8PSI of boost on it's own without tuning, but it won't be the ideal setup, not to mention that's likely all the NA internals could handle.

Video? Or it didn't happen...lol
If ecoboost engine has 120hp per litre, than a 5.0 ford na should make 600 hp?
