If you are wanting to post images on the Faction, here's what you need to do.

First you'll need to host the images on an external hosting site.

Here are some of the popular ones:

• Flickr
  
• Photobucket
  
• Uploadimages
  
• The Image Hosting
  
• Painted Over
  
• Imageshack
  
• ImageVenue
  
• Imgur

Once you host the images on the site, you will need the URL of the image.

1. Right click on image on the hosting site
2. Click on "Properties"
3. Triple click on the "Address (URL)" to highlight it
4. Hit "CTRL C" to copy the URL address

Now that the image is copied, you can put it in your post.

1. Click on the Image Tag icon at the top of the message box. Like this:
2. The "http://" should already be highlited so all you need to do is hit "CTRL V" to insert the URL of your image.
3. Click "OK" and the image tag will now be in your post
4. Once you hit "Submit Reply", your reply will now include your image embeded in your post.

To elaborate on Flickr:

When on the page showing the photo you want to post:

1. Click on "Share This".
2. Click on "Grab the HTML/BBCode".
3. Select the "BBCode" radio button.
4. Select the size you want. "Medium" works best, and will be the default.
5. Select all the code shown in the box, and press Ctrl-C (Windows) or Cmd-C (MacOS) to copy.
6. Go to the message box where you're posting and paste by pressing Ctrl-V (Windows) or Cmd-V (MacOS).
7. Make yourself a mojito.

If you have a Facebook account, I noticed that linking to an image URL of photos that have been uploaded to FB works - at least when you preview a post... I haven't posted pictures yet in an actual thread, but was wondering if anyone does this or has tried it? It would definitely be easier since I take most pictures with my phone and upload them directly to FB.

1. Upload to Youtube.

2. Click the film stripe icon (green, second to the right in the "Quick Reply" box).

3. Follow the instructions on the pop-up about posting a video.
