......and that is for Ford to make Kona Blue an available color on the 2012 Fiesta!

So, I started a facebook page to help try and convince Ford to do so for next year's model year.

BTW, if you don't know what Kona Blue looks like, here it is on the Mustang:

So, if you agree, please join the page and show your support. Who knows, maybe Sam De La Garza will agree and help make it happen! :dunno: :D

The Fiesta could use a better blue option, and I think the Kona blue would be outstanding!
Kona Blue would look great, reminds me of the Ink Blue I really like on Euro Fiestas. Either that or Vision Blue. I like Blue Flame but looking at real-life pictures, it doesn't quite "pop" enough...
Wow, Kona Blue looks fantastic! I looks incredible on the new Mustang and would look awesome on the new Fiesta!
I'd wait till next year for a Fiesta for that color. The current blue is just too blue for me. (51 year old male). I had my 65 Corvair repainted in a 1996 Ford color. Moonlight blue, code KM.
flame blue is nice in person. I almost thought about switching mine to that but it's too late now :) my bright magenta Fiesta is in transit. I saw a yellow blaze one the other day and it's cool but I'm not paying $300 for it.
I agree that the Fiesta could use some more restrained shades in its palette. I'd like to see Atlantis Green and Cinnamon (both from the Taurus) made available on Fiesta in addition to Kona Blue.

That said, I'm looking forward to my pick, Blue Flame. It's a fascinating color, looks a little different each time I see it.
I am listening....

Thanks for the passion around the color discussion.

I'll be sharing it with our design team very soon!

I love the color as well. I wanted blue, but dislike the current offering. I would definitely go for Kona.
On the contrary, I'd like to see a more adventurous color palette spread across all the Ford lineup. Whatever happened to RED. Not "Red Candy Tinted Clearcoat Metallic", RED. Bright red. No metallic. Like Mustang's Torch Red. Fiesta should have had a nice bright "pull me over" red.

And on an unrelated note, Lime Squeeze should spread through all of Ford, not just the Escape Hybrid next year.
I'm partial to blue. The Blue Flame is pretty, but practically speaking, it's a bit too dark. What I mean is that in the southwest where I live, a dark color is a hot color. In addition, I drive dirt roads and dark colors show the dirt faster. My old '91 Ranger had a light blue that was like the sky near the horizon (called Light Crystal Blue). Perfect for me. That said, I've always wanted a fluorescent green car, so the Lime Squeeze is close enough.

Thank you Sam! :)
I will add that I finally got to see a Fiesta in Blue Flame at the Carlisle Ford Nationals this past weekend.

The Fiesta looks a LOT better in Blue Flame than the current Focus does. I still prefer Kona Blue, however. ;)

+1

Add Light Ice Blue Metallic to my dream color list. Totally forgot about that one.
My fun car will be a 2010 Mustang GT in Grabber Blue, MANUAL transmission.

hummm....Mustang......
If Orange Peel or a blue closer to Sonic or the blue used on the ST1600, I would have picked that over white. Orange Peel with bronze wheels would look awesome! Blue with white wheels has been a combo I have been trying for since 1999 when the Civic Si came out. I almost bought my ZX3 in burnt orange in 2000, but decided on white after seeing the WRC Presentation car.

Favorite color combinations that I like for the Fiesta;
Orange Peel with bronze wheels
Sonic/Kona Blue with white wheels
White with white wheels

I guess I am lucky orange peel and kona blue were not offered, otherwise I would have needed months to pick a color. :p
I am sure the chances of Ford deciding to add an existing color to the Fiesta lineup in the future is a lot higher than if they were to bring back or add in a different color that is not currently available on one of the other Ford models.

Obviously my FIRST pick would have been Sonic Blue, but since that hasn't been used since 06, I doubt it would return.
Is Kona blue the same that is used on the Raptor's? Perhaps SVT using that blue for their products, just as Sonic was for SVT only when it first came out. Maybe the solution is to make a SVT/ST Fiesta in Kona. :) Problem fixed!

No, it's Blue Flame on the Raptor.

At Focus Rising and at the Carlisle Ford Nationals, Mark Kauffman stated that by 2013 90% of all Ford products will have an optional EcoBoost engine available. Hopefully that will include the Fiesta. If it does, that would be a good reason to give a limited color run like they did with Sonic Blue on the SVTF.
