So, in addition to my other annoying issues, I've noticed that my car's fuel pump is quite loud. I hear its whirring noise when driving through town and especially when the vehicle was stopped. Out of all the cars I've driven, never once have I heard the pump (other than on initial start-up).

Is this just a Fiesta thing or is my car just the pits?

You're hearing my typed words? You needn't be offended by my dislike for a precious Fiesta.

That I don't know. It might be one of those noises that you don't notice until you notice.

Sent via poles, wires and telegraph 2.
Could be.

I'll bring it up to the stealership when they're replacing the speaker/window regulators.

So, stealership service guys didn't seem to understand the EcoBoost has two fuel pumps. Refused to do anything about my loud pump, wouldn't even listen to it.

Also, got my power window regulator replaced (they changed their tunes and refused to change the other one for some reason)....

The window still makes the noise.

A+ work, Safro Ford.

I'm going to give them one more shot next week. I'd rather not deal with my other local dealership, found their service advisors to be very rude. May have to drive another 15-20 minutes to find a more capable dealership. Just find it quite worrisome that all of my issues are electronic-related...that sorcery horrifies me.

I didn't notice the noise when I test drove a 1.6 (if that's what the NA I4 is). Also not present in the FoST I test drove, or in my car up until about two weeks ago. Car also really struggles to get started now, cranks over way too long for a new car.

Even my friend's 600 whp STI with a Wahlbro 255 (or even crazier set-up) isn't as loud as my car.

No idea, I first noticed it on my way to fill-up about a month ago, now I notice it every time I drive and it starts with more difficulty.

There is an in tank filter. So not likely.
On second thought, If the filter was dirty, the pump might be struggling.

How hard is it for someone, shop foreman, to sit in the car and listen. sheese !
From my experience with Ford service departments...that's way too much to ask. Dude wouldn't even listen to my rear window making a noise....an hour after they just installed a new regulator in that same window, because of that same noise.

Not all service departments are created equal. Plus they are independent of corporate Ford, but you knew that. Take it to another dealership, do some online research about dealership's ratings before you go. Or call them and deal directly with the manager. Or communicate on this Forum with some of the corporate representatives and escalate your case. The solutions abound.

I just bought a Fiesta SE hatch through the dealership I'm an adviser for. The car was dealer traded in from another dealer and I checked the warranty history and found that the fuel pump had failed...brand new vehicle with a faulty pump...could happen.
