Can we start up a new forum section for fiesta mods and accessory installs?

I plan on installing a few factory accessories (swap in the LED lamps, and probably ambient lighting as well) and would love to write up some photo instructions for how I went about it.

The Escape forum I use to go to had a section for this and there ended up being a lot of informative information in it.

I'm planning on an armrest. I would like to install a coolant temp. gauge. I want to use existing holes. I don't want to cut hoses or drill into the engine. The gauge need to OEM quality, not made in China junk. I have three gauges I added in my Corvair, one is a German VDO and the others are made in the U.S. The back lights dim with the dash lights. That may be harder with the Fiesta. I may do other things that sound fun that I hear about here.

I'm wondering how hard it would be to design euro-style foglights that replace the LED parking lights? I'd certainly buy something like that if it was available.

Well the interest is definitely there. I'm sure some aftermarket company will pick up the idea and run with it. They would definitely make a good profit as long as the cost of the replacements are not too high.

Yes! I want a modding subsection that I can lurk in and see what you guys do to your Fiesta's so I can copy you.

Also a question, does a new exhaust void the warranty?
Modifications have to have been shown to cause a specific part to fail before warranty is voided. So, if your car has a defective suspension component, it had to be shown that your new exhaust caused that suspension component to fail. Or, if your catalytic converter fails prematurely and it was shown that during the exhaust installation was done improperly that affected the catalytic converter's performance, then yes that could void the warranty.

I always suggest to people to get a feel of their dealership before taking on modifications. Those that tend to be "mod-friendly" are those that probably won't give you a hard time if you modify your car :)

What about a modified euro-spec front bumper with the large lower air dam?
Not possible without some serious investment. The hood, bumper cover, and crash structure all need to be changed for the EU bumper. The headlights are able to be swapped with a little wiring work. Sadly, the front bumper cover, which is sexy as heck, can't be swapped. Lets all hope the aftermarket finds a way to make something close.
