The dealer called and said my Fiesta arrived, but it came damaged. The bumper is wrecked and they won't deliver it until it is fixed, which could be days away. I told them I need to take the bumpers off anyway to install the body kit and remove the trim, and they refused to let me take it home. More delays. :mad:

Maybe we should start a single thread for these types of issues... to keep track of what all is showing up damaged. I feel your pain man... I really do. We're both in the same boat. The dealers can't release damaged cars to us under any condition... so we have to wait for them to be fixed. Who knows how long that might take. I'm still waiting for an update today to see if Ford ever got back to the mechanic at my dealer. It's a pretty defeated feeling knowing your car is finally here and you just can't take it home.

Heartbreaking. I hope they can get the replacement bumper here soon, BRGT350. That's really sad.

at least it's not off radar anymore - hopefully they'll get her fixed and deliver it asap

yeah, at least it is here, but now I have to wait while they figure out what is wrong. The dealer fed me some BS that it will void my warranty if I take the car. That is a flat lie, my dad used to be a warranty admin for 32 years!

So maybe the long delay in Flat Rock was due to this damage, as they may have been waiting for an insurance claim to go through with the shipping company? Either way, terrible news and I feel for you.

Try to get them to give you the damaged bumper cover! You could take that bad boy home and cut some holes (tunneled driving lights!) to put some kick ass Hella driving lights into your bumpers. you probably also ought to order a rebar so you can clearance cut it and install light mounting tabs. You might just be able to make some SWEET lemonade from those lemons you got dealt. I wish they had dinged mine a bit! But in the right places, if you catch my drift!

Ok, I have seen the car and there is no damage. It is missing one plastic clip and they are holding it from being delivered for a 5 cent clip. Ford is working with me and we are trying to get the car delivered to me.

BTW, the car looks better in person that I remember.:eek:

Good news everyone! (no, not the dacia sandero) According to bryan's twitter feed, his car is only missing a clip for the license plate holder. He is trying to convince the dealer to let him take it home today. Hopefully They do and we have one more happy factioner with a fiesta (maybe one of the happiest of all).

Release the car! The car needs to be driven. Maybe they can get the clip from another car lol.

Wow it's a minor thing. I thought the bumper had body damange from reading this thread.

Hey! I'll trade you a license plate peg for your engine and transmission so I can take delivery of mine! ;)

I'll trade just for the engine... I forgot you got the manual transmission. :eek:

They just wanna hang on to it so they can play with it....clean it up and park it out front....let people put paw prints all over it while waiting for your "clip":eek:

From everything we heard about this dealer, that would not surprise me to be true.

Lock up the thread boys, the car is coming home! Scott Monty and a whole team at Ford looked into the issue and is going to get my car delivered today. Ford really stepped in to help with my dealer issues. Thanks again to Ford and everyone here and on Twitter for their help.:)
