I am unsure about the "little bonuses" in the SES package like LED with chrome parking lamps and heated side mirrors. I would add the 16" wheels and Sync systems to the SE model however, which makes it about $1000 less than the SES. Let me know your opinions about the trims and what you believe to be a valuable upgrade. Obviously this is all personal preference, but I just want some thoughts.

I don't think you can add the 16" wheels to the SE. They have the steel 15" or you can upgrade to the 15" aluminum. I was having the same dilemma between the SE and SEL sedan, but I ended up going with the SEL (a small part of the reason was that I liked the look/design of the 16" aluminum more than the 15" aluminum).

One other thing to consider is if you wanted heated seats, you can add the winter package to the SE ($195) but would have to add the upgrade package to the SEL ($795).

Where did you find that? I know that their build and price section of the site shows all of them with the 16" wheels, but I think that's an error in the picture, rather than how they will actually look. If you look here, it states that 16" wheels are not available on the SE.

I'm sure you could buy new wheels once you got your car, but that would eat into the savings of getting the SE.

I always seem to go to the mid Pkg and add something I really want.

I ordered an SE hatch, auto w/ winter option (Heated seats & mirrors must for Michigan) and the SYNC & Sound pkg. Specifically wanted the 15's for fuel economy, aluminum so I don't have wheel covers. SYNC is must have.

I also prefer the non-chrome look of the SE:

I went with the SES, with every option except for the moonroof and auto. I wanted leather, and when I placed my order the LED parking lamps were going to be chrome. As soon as my car arrives, it will be 100% unchromed. :)

I think I am happy with getting Sync as an option, but the lack of steering wheel volume control has me rethinking my option. I would much rather have volume control on the steering wheel that speed control, but volume control is not an option with Sync. The BlueTooth system in the non-Sync EU Fiesta worked very well, and I found it much easier to use than Sync when I tried it out on a rental car for 10 days. The newer Sync in the Fiesta seems to be better, so I am hoping I made the right choice.

I opted for the SES package as I wanted leather, push button start, and keyless entry. My only real gripe is the chrome LED bezels, any SE owners wanna trade?

I see, and on the 202A package listing it says 15". Well hmm. That night push me for SES.

Has anyone considered that having the SES tag would be more valuable for resale/trade-in purposes too? Or not really worth it?

Not that the look of the tires is the only thing to consider, but I think the design of the 16" is much nicer looking than the 15" (steel or aluminum). Also, I know that a lot of people don't like the chrome, but I really like it, which was another factor in my choosing the SEL sedan. To me, the SEL (or SES) just looks like a much more premium car and if you're spending all that money already, what's an extra thousand dollars to feel like you're getting exactly what you wanted? You're still paying thousands less than a similarly equipped car by almost any other manufacturer.

We live in the cold like 10 months out of the year here in Wisconsin so we decided to spring for the SES hatchback with the heated seat upgrade. My DD is so excited because our current car is so cold to drive to school in the morning.

I hope you didn't upgrade to SES just for the heated seats. You can get those in the SE trim with the winter package as well ($195 option, includes heated mirrors too).
