I have heard that Fords do not have recirculating air for heat/cool. Is this true? Does the Fiesta have recirculating air?
I might not have the technical expertise to answer your question, but according to the user manual, the MAX AC option "Distributes recirculated air through the instrument panel vents to cool the vehicle. This re-cooling of the
interior air is more economical and efficient than normal A/C mode. Recirculated air may also help reduce undesirable odors from entering the vehicle."

ETA: Merkmal's answer is better than mine. Here's what I found in the manual about the button Merkmal pointed out: "5. : Press to activate/deactivate air recirculation in the vehicle cabin. Recirculated air may reduce the amount of time required to cool down the interior of the vehicle and may also help reduce undesired odors from reaching the interior of the vehicle. Recirculated air engages automatically when MAX A/C is selected or can be engaged manually in any airflow mode except (defrost)."

Recirculating Air/Max A/C

Mine does and here in Dallas it is HOTTTTT!!! Black interior on my car...it takes about a mile or a little less and starts cooling down. Went on a 200 mile road trip sunday and had to turn the fan to low and turn up the thermostat side...A/C works very well!

That's what I wanted to here. My Toyota Matrix up here in Minnesota is not very good. It is in factory specs according to my Toyota dealer.

MY AC has worked very well this week in the 100+ degree heat we've been having. It cools things down very nice, there is a recirc button, but also if you switch over to MAX AC, recirc comes on and can not be defeated.

Do the air doors in the dashboard work all 4 vents or only the inboard ones? In other words, when you switch to AC, do the outboard dash vents open? And when you switch to the floor vents for heat, do the outboard dash vents close? Or do you have to take care of them by hand?

Also, there is no "climate control" with an actual thermostat correct?

My current car (Taurus) has a tan interior so I'll be going from that to a black interior. I definitely need to get one of those windshield covers. I try googling them but I get like winter covers or something. Where is the best place to get them? Are they expensive?

My taurus only works on high so I'm either REALLY cold or hot. I can not wait for my Fiesta to get here.

You can purchase interior windshield covers at Wal-Mart, Target or any automotive store like Advance Auto, O'Reilly, etc.

The black interior is what made me decide against paying extra for the leather trim. Black cloth will be bad enough in the summer; I really don't need to burn myself on black "leather" seats. I've never used any of those windshield covers, but I'm guessing they can't be too expensive... I've seen them at the dollar store.

My Protege5 has a weak AC unit also. If there are two people in the car on a warm day, good luck trying to ever get it cooled down inside. I even have solar reflective/tinted windows on the car.

Digital Thermostat control....

Mine does not have that just the round dial with the red/blue......I don't believe any of the US spec Fiesta's have this feature, (like on a lincoln or mercury product) I think that was a euro only item...maybe if enough people say something they might consider it in the future...they watch this forum.
