I've got a 2014 Fiesta. Whenever I turn on my A/C, I get a foul, mildewey smell from the vents. Swapping the cabin air filter did not help. I suspect I may need to clean my A/C drain line, but I can't find any info online about how to access it.

Any thoughts?

Locate the drain vent on the passenger side of the car. It's a rubber tube coming out from the heater suitcase. A light burst of compressed air up the tube can clear any blockage there may be. Also, there are products out there (meguiars makes one, but I use some from a professional detail supply distributor) that are made to clean out odors from the A/C and heater. I use a 2-part that starts with a spray you apply through the cowl on fresh air setting with fan on high. Then you roll up the windows, set the a/c on recirc and let the product spray inside the car and get clown around for about 15 minutes (it's like a bug bomb can). They work very well in getting rid of these kinds of odors.

I still can't find the a/c drain line. I took the left passenger well panel off, and even removed the cabin air filter panel, but despite being down there for half an hour I can't find the drain line. I need HELP!

I posted some pictures of the area, but apparently the forum doesn't like image links and it needs to be approved.

Because I'm impatient, type in the imgur website name, plus a forward slash, then this QxDJMPg. It's an image of the A/C area. Maybe someone can point out where I should be looking for the drain line.

Turn on ac. Does water come out under your car? If yes it's not blocked.

I had the same smell issue. I did this:

Purchase some aerosol Lysol.
Start the car
Put hvac in recirculate.
Crank fan to MAX.
Spray Lysol in an upward direction under the passenger side dash. This is where the recirc air intake is.
I did it in bursts.
Repeat 3 time or so. Every couple of days.

Smell disappeared for me.

Went to OReilly's a couple months ago for it and after searching around for it for a bit I asked a person there and they only offered a tiny aerosol air freshener. I went and got some Lysol disinfectant spray and just used that.

I think my issue is off gassing from the plastic coming through the vents though, because the Lysol didn't fix it and it's more prevalent when I get in the car after it has been sitting in the sun.
