I just saw some print ads on BON from Canada and they state that the Fiesta is going to be out 2010 in Canada...so I'm guessing the Fiesta will be out sooner then later? I always thought it was going to be a Summer Launch.
They're all over the place with the intro dates. For the longest time they were saying "early 2010". The official US website still says that. Lately, Ford's people on Twitter have been saying "Summer 2010". That's also what the Fiesta Movement agents are given. So this "Spring 2010" just adds to the confusion.
If Job 1 is May, it would be summer when the cars are delivered, so I think falls into place. From history, they usually run at a reduced rate for a few weeks to make sure the line is running properly before going into full production.
Ford usually takes about a month-and-a-half between Job 1 and when cars begin to hit showrooms. So if the first car is built at the end of March, deliveries could start on May 15. That's just 10 months from now.
