I was browsing through Ford's new mobile Fiesta site and stumbled upon something I've either missed or they have just added. In the gallery section under accessories is a rather exciting option called the Suspension Package (Link). Photo #2.
The available Suspension Package comes with Ford Racing's Strut Tower Kit and Suspension Lowering Kit accessories.
Was I out of touch or is this a new development? How many all the more excited people do we now have? Who will be adding it to the "Ideal Fiesta" thread?

I knew that Ford Racing was going to offer a kit, but this is the first I've officially heard of it like this. Great find man!

The other thing we don't know is how suspensions differ between the various trims. I remember hearing earlier there'd be several suspension options. The order guide says nothing about this.

Yeah, that came as a shock! I also knew that Ford Racing was developing a package, since it was on display at the LA Auto Show. I would have had no idea it would be found on the Fiesta site. I figured it would show up in the next Ford Racing catalog. Awesome find indeed!

There seem to be a lot of options that we haven't heard about yet. I like the free sync with the Fiesta reservation but it is looking more and more like waiting is the better option if you're interested in something more than a very basic configuration.

remember that those are a dealer installed option, and not something you can order from the factory. No matter how long you wait, you won't be able to get the car from the factory with those parts. The body kit, exhaust, suspension, and other parts are sold at the dealer and installed. The spoiler is the only peice that is from the factory.

BRGT350 is right, they will not come from the factory that way. It is a dealer installed option. There are alot of things that are dealer installed. like, the illuminated sill plates and the illuminated shift knob.

It is a shame that such items are not available from the factory. I read somewhere on the Ford site that such Ford racing items have NO warranty at all.

Umm, you better show me some actual facts to back up those claims. Many Ford Racing parts installed by a Ford dealer are covered by warrenty. Great example is the Shelby GT, which is made of mostly Ford Racing parts, and all are covered. People have a terrible misconception of warranties and aftermarket parts. Please, do you homework before making claims with no data.

Thanks for proving my point, all of the parts used on the Shelby GT's are covered by a Ford warranty. Suspension, exhaust, intakes, ect. all covered. Strangly, those are the same type of parts being made for the Fiesta. Hmm, looks like Ford Racing parts installed at an authorized retailer would be covered by a warranty.

FYI, Saleen has been considered a "manufacture" which based some of its products off of Ford products. The company has gone thru many changes, and it would be unwise to use their buisness case when discussing Ford Racing parts for the new Fiesta.

"All Ford Racing Parts are aftermarket parts. Ford Racing Parts are not Genuine Ford Parts or Accessories. Ford Racing Performance Parts are sold "as is" with no warranty. A Limited Warranty is available for some select parts... " What that means translated is "I don't offer a warranty on my products, I do offer a limited warranty on certain products and if you are given a warranty on any of my product line installed it is an independent warranty.'' Ford Racing DOES NOT have a warranty, it means the that DEALER is offering a warranty which is not in any related for Ford Racing. So Golf is right, Ford Racing doesn't warranty their products, Ford warranties through the dealers so therefore to say Ford Racing offers a warranty when their website disclaims it is misinformation.

Quote from the page you linked: "A 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty is applicable if installed at the time of new vehicle delivery
A 12 month / 12,000 mile warranty is in effect if installed after the date of vehicle delivery but prior to expiration of 3 years / 36,000 mile vehicle warranty"

An entire list of Ford Racing warranty parts: Ford Racing Performance Parts [Warranty Parts]

I am not sure where you are getting this "no warranty" stuff from. My dad has a Shelby GT. He has Ford Racing parts that were installed at Shelby. He has a warranty on those parts. I also have friends that have had Ford Racing parts installed on their cars at a dealer and the parts have a warranty. A vehicle still has warranty with aftermarket parts, regardless of manufacture. If you put a CAI on your Focus, and the wheel bearing fails at 10,000 miles, the bearing is still covered. Now, if you put a short throw shifter in your car, and the transmission goes boom, and it was determined to be the fault of the aftermarket part, then there is no warranty on the failed part.

Ford racing states on the direct page that I posted ''As Is'' the parts in general which have a warranty are very little, crate motors, and a couple mustang parts THATS IT. A few parts out of a whole catalogue offer a LIMITED WARRANTY. Read the page I posted without clicking the links, it says what I posted in quotations.

Surprise, surprise. The same folks that are known for their negativity have manipulated this wonderful development of an optional sports suspension package and attempted to make it a detriment.

This is an accessory listed on fordvehicles.com instead of at fordracingparts.com. There's a big difference there considering a disclaimer at the latter
NO VEHICLE IN THIS CATALOG OR OFFERING IS STREET LEGAL OR CERTIFIED UNDER
FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARDS AND REGULATIONS UNLESS EXPRESSLY
STATED TO THE CONTRARY HEREIN.
This suspension package is not on the racing website, it is on the street legal website so I'm going to say that your claims mean nothing until you can provide evidence that actually is relevant.

We get it--a couple of you cannot be satisfied regardless of how much good news may continue coming out about the Fiesta. It was old months ago, but now it's laughable the extent you will go to in order to "justify" your negativity.

So according to you there is a warranty.
