Can you get to the Hill Assist setting via the UI? I have mine turned off and want to keep it that way after the conversion

Why would hill assist matter? Mine is on, I tried it yesterday, but I'm so used to cheesing the clutch I don't normally notice. I can't think of why it would be a problem.

I prefer to have it off. There are instances when i desire to have the car roll back like when maneuvering in a tight spot and dont want the car overriding/delaying so I have it turned off. Glad Ford gave us the option and I don't want to lose it.

That makes sense. I have yet to see 2000 miles and it has not pissed me off yet. ;) The only place I roll back is at the liquor store but I have just started her and let off the hand brake with the clutch in.

I haven't checked this thread in a while and wow! Good job! I'm surprised about having to cut the dash though. In my part# research it didn't look like the dashes themselves were different and that there was only a mounting bracket for the screen. Guess not.

Edit: I just checked pictures of various Fiestas with the screen removed and sonovabitch they are different. It’s odd because the part #’s dont show it. The dash’s are only with and without auto climate control or keyless start but mentions nothing about Sync 3 or 1. I may wait untli my car is out of warranty before doing this. Or not. I’m not sure yet. I might just swap the whole dash and harness at this point. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Surprised for sure. I have auto climate controls. Hope that’s the dash that doesn’t have to be cut. If not it’s not a big deal

Any progress with the plug and play harness? I have a 2016 1.0L with thr base Sync 1 system that I want to upgrade. I already purchased the full Sony Sync 3 setup, but havent started trying to wire anything up yet. If I can get it done without hacking the harness at all that would be ideal.

I'm trying to make an SFE Titanium as well. Installed Euro headlights and some factory fog lights last weekend.

Hey guys,

This is a long shot, but I figure I'd try... I've been reading this and other forums with envy over the ability to upgrade Sync 1 to 3. I have a 2012 Mustang, though, with Sync 1 that has nav. I went so far as to buy a Sync 3 APIM and screen, and wired up my own harness. However, now I am stuck because I don't have HS-CAN3/I-CAN on my vehicle (not sure whether this is hidden somewhere, but couldn't find anything in the wiring manual), so I have nothing to hook pins 19+20 of the APIM to in order to get the unit to boot. I've bought an OBD emulator to allow the unit to boot (haven't received it yet), but not sure even if it boots, whether the ACM will work, as they look like they are on MS-CAN. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hi! I converted sync 1 to sync 3 on my Fiesta 2015. But with sync 3 ACM the audio does not come out with the car running. When I turn the key off, the audio is played. When I turn on the car key, the audio disappears. Does anyone know what may be happening? With placing the sync 1 ACM in the sync 3 system the audio plays normal, but the volume knob and the Bluetooth connections do catch. All other buttons work. I'm from Brazil. Thank you very much.

Hey guys. I upgraded from sync 1.1 to sync 3.0 on my fiesta mk7.5.

The screen is 6.5 inches.

Before the update, I had the option to reset the tpms menu
After upgrade, the option no longer exists, even after enabling the apim module option. However, the warning light on the panel is normalized.

Can anyone help.

I am attempting a Sync 1 to Sync 3 upgrade in my 2011 Fiesta (with only 47k miles) but am confused about making my own harness. I bought one that has some connectors, but it‘s missing the connector to the FCIM port and I may need to move some pins. Do you know where I can go to get information on how to do this? Thanks!
