As posted on FIESTAVUS.com

Let's be honest, flying these days is a real pain and in general sucks. So being a lazy man and dude most definitely is a lazy man, I have decided to forgo flying for the month of May in favor of a Fiesta.

The person that guesses closest to the mileage on the Fiesta at 8 am on June 1st will receive their very own vintage Mongol Rally shirt. We will accept entries in the comment section on this site, on Twitter as an @fiestavus message with the tag #2LAZY, as a comment on Seth's Facebook page, or in a reply on this forum.

Here's your BIG chance to own a garment so beautiful that men have worked miracles on Fiestas in Siberia to grasp one, have been smuggled into Kazakhstan to keep it, and little girls have cried themselves to sleep when they grew out of one. For those that don't already know the shirts say "too lazy to hike everest" on the front and "mongol rally 2006" on the back. Hell they are practically vintage.

So here are the rules, entries must be in by Friday May 8th and I guess that is it. And to be fair, we currently have 2020 miles on car with the following trips on the docket - DC to VT, round trip to Chicago from VT, round trip to Utah from VT, and round trip to Boston from VT. There will be others I am sure but that is the basic plan. Good luck, all it costs you is a guess.

Here are a couple recent shots from our trip snowboarding at Tuckermans - full post here - http://www.fiestavus.com/node/59

Good entries, should be interesting. 4545 on the clock now. As an exclusive sneak peak for the Faction here's our mission for May - snowboard three separate mountain ranges. Gitty Up.

My guess is that the mileage will read 11435 by the end of the month. :D
Well we eclipsed all predictions. This morning when I left the house the mileage was 12,021. That is right around the yearly average for most Americans, though I have always been way over that.

Guitarseth had the highest guess and therefore wins the t-shirt. Shoot me a PM with your size and address and I will ship it out as soon as I get home again.

I will have an extended mileage review up for you guys some time in the near future. Lot's to comment on after a year's worth of driving in just over a month.
