Another video (mostly in Dutch with some English titbits):
Ford Mondeo en Fiesta op Go Further Event | Auto video's - AutoWeek.nl

introducing the European Fusion (=Mondeo) liftback, sedan and wagon; facelifted Fiesta (note the US style filler cap) and Fiesta ST; EcoSport (new for Europe, current in South America); announcing the next gen Edge (new for Europe); Mustang officially to be sold in Europe (not through imports) with smaller engines. Then in Dutch the question "Will people drive a 1 liter engine in a D-class car?" (Ford thinks it is becoming 'cool').

Didn't they have to do significant work to the current fiesta before it was US approved? Like 2-3 years after the euro release?
Yes, but it doesn't look like much structurally has changed at all, just details (except for the possible 1.0l Ecoboost engine). I could grow to love the new nose - at least it appears to have retained a bit of chrome, and the new interior seems to include just the right changes/upgrades.

I hope they at least retain/incorporate the Sony stereo option and built-in armrest (and maybe a nicer overhead console for sunroof-equipped cars, to replace the el-cheapo unit direct from a Mazda5)!

Remember, that's not the interior we'll get in the Americas. Ours will remain the same, spare the additions of MyFord Touch, Automatic Climate Control, and Automatic Headlamps.

Bummer...:( Seems the interior would be the easiest thing to standardize/upgrade vs powertrains and front end changes.

More of Fords presentation:

(only the first 15 seconds are in German)

Besides the Fiesta you will also see the large Transit van (E-series replacement), the smaller Transit Connect / Tourneo (=passenger version) and Focus Electric with the new grille.

Very nice... Just hoping that '14 brings some of this freshness to the good ol' US!! :)

i dig that they didnt change much.. and i realy dig the idea of haveing fog lights insted of those led lights..(if the us spec fiestas get them..) not that theres anything wrong with the led parking lights we got, i wanna get the package for my fiesta later anlong with aftermarket fog lights.. just fog lights are functional and not just for show like those cool leds.. :p

Looks like at least the Euro-spec versions have BOTH! LEDs within the headlight cluster and fogs below.

The gap between the current USDM Fiesta and EU Fiesta is a bit less than 2 years.
The Pre-production EU Fiesta was unveiled March 2008, the USDM Fiesta was unveiled December 2009.

The difference now is the USDM facelift was developed alongside the EU facelift.

Oh yeah. I saw a 2014 Fiesta hatch this morning on the highway. It was camouflaged but you could tell it was a Fiesta. I waved at the driver and he seemed confused as to why ;)

That's the only thing I miss about SE Michigan... all those camo cars :) I remember seeing a 4-door Ranger (long before the Explorer SporTrak) and what eventually became the Five Hundred. Among countless others. Even saw a Mondeo once.

Still envious of the Euro color (colour?) choices but not as much so as before. I like Blazer Blue the best (the Blue Flame I have is nice but I would have went for a darker blue if they had it). I also think Midnight Sky would be a good replacement for Violet Gray. I can't tell if Hot Mustard is more like Yellow Blaze or Lime Squeeze. The "palette" photo makes it look yellow. But the pic at the Cafe makes it look just like Lime Squeeze.
