Europe's best small car just got better. The package of innovative, class-leading technologies, stylish design and engines, set a new benchmark in the segment.
Didn't they have to do significant work to the current fiesta before it was US approved? Like 2-3 years after the euro release? The next major US Auto Show is my guess.
Yes, but it doesn't look like much structurally has changed at all, just details (except for the possible 1.0l Ecoboost engine). I could grow to love the new nose - at least it appears to have retained a bit of chrome, and the new interior seems to include just the right changes/upgrades.Didn't they have to do significant work to the current fiesta before it was US approved? Remember, that's not the interior we'll get in the Americas. Ours will remain the same, spare the additions of MyFord Touch, Automatic Climate Control, and Automatic Headlamps.Yes, but it doesn't look like much structurally has changed at all, just details (except for the possible 1.0l Ecoboost engine). Very nice... Just hoping that '14 brings some of this freshness to the good ol' US!!More of Fords presentation:
(only the first 15 seconds are in German)
Besides the Fiesta you will also see the large Transit van (E-series replacement), the smaller Transit Connect / Tourneo (=passenger version) and Focus Electric with the new grille.
Looks like at least the Euro-spec versions have BOTH! LEDs within the headlight cluster and fogs below.i dig that they didnt change much.. and i realy dig the idea of haveing fog lights insted of those led lights..(if the us spec fiestas get them..) not that theres anything wrong with the led parking lights we got, i wanna get the package for my fiesta later anlong with aftermarket fog lights.. just fog lights are functional and not just for show like those cool leds..![]()
I just noticed that the big Transit (with the raised roof) has a 3-bar grille, unlike all other cars. In fact, just like the current US models?! I guess that's the van you will be getting then.Very nice... Just hoping that '14 brings some of this freshness to the good ol' US!!![]()
The gap between the current USDM Fiesta and EU Fiesta is a bit less than 2 years.Didn't they have to do significant work to the current fiesta before it was US approved? Like 2-3 years after the euro release?
That's the only thing I miss about SE Michigan... all those camo carsOh yeah. I saw a 2014 Fiesta hatch this morning on the highway. It was camouflaged but you could tell it was a Fiesta. I waved at the driver and he seemed confused as to why![]()
Nice! I guess the guy who owns the Fiesta in the second pic couldn't find a parking space haha.Just thought I'd share some pics (from the Ford UK site)
