My daughter just purchased a 2010 Flex. She says it may look like a hearse but she can have 6 of her grandchildren in car seats in it.:D

About damn time they started using descent trim level names rather than the idiotcy of what GM uses. Its one way to set themselves apart from the rest. It really gives proper personality to the car rather than making it look like something made out of a cookie cutter.

The Flex may not be the prettiest vehicle in the world, but it may well be the most comfortable. A 2011 or 2012 model is high on my family's list of potential replacements for our 2005 Honda Odyssey. We test drove the Edge and Flex when it looked like insurance might total our Odyssey after it was hit on the side of the expressway. We liked both, but the Flex was incredibly comfortable. The seats are amazing (from a comfort standpoint--I didn't even drive it, as I would rarely be the driver in this vehicle), and the foot wells for the middle row passengers drop down lower than the rest of the floor level where the seats are mounted, giving me a ton of leg room there and a very home-furniture-like seating position. The front passenger seating was also fantastic. I've never been more comfortable in any vehicle of any kind. It would be a great vehicle to have for a family cruiser. I would love to take a Flex on a family vacation.

I anxiously await the Focus-based mini-minivan, but I suspect my wife will not be interested, and she's the one who'll be driving this vehicle.

I'm considering the C-Max for the family vehicle, probably either a new Fiesta or Focus as my work car, the ST as the toy, and the C-Max to take the kids everywhere.

The Flex in my view is nothing more than a stylized Explorer..
I also think it is hideous! Kinda looks like a bloated Scion xB.

It's also funny to see that trim name slapped on the back of it...
But unfortunately it probably will appeal to a certain group of social climbers...

Have heard design folks talk about evocative design as an objective. You love or you hate it but it does evoke an emotion. Think they hit that target on the Flex, not for everybody but if you need a family hauler and don't want to look like a soccer mom ( think Payton Manning commercial about minivans folks) then this might fit the bill.

GM invented the cookie cutter cars! That's what they do. That is why I'm getting a Ford.

I don't remember: What is the expected release date of the C-Max here in the U.S.? I'm wondering if it will be soon enough for me to consider as a replacement for the Odyssey.
This was the info released at this years Frankfurt Auto Show
"Ford is confirming that the 7-seat Grand C-MAX model will be introduced in North America in late 2011"
Ford at Frankfurt 2009 -> Ford C-MAX
