I don't really care for the "Its a pretty big deal" ad with all the kids jumping around. Outside of the 40mpg thing, there is little that highlights what I consider the best part of the Fiesta. The driving is completely missing! Besides a few Mazda, Acura, and BMW ads, I have not found many car ads that actually speak to the enthusiast. If I was doing ads, they would have the Fiesta rally car flying around corners, jumping in the air, corvettes chasing Fiesta's in the mall, beach landings, e-brake slides, lots of high revving fun, and general hooning. That would probably offend most people, and that is why nobody asks me to do commercials. :)

BTW, the AI ad with the paint being thrown on the Fiesta's was horrible. I still think they should take the AI kids, strap them into Ken Blocks rally Fiesta, and scare the poo out of them. I would watch that over and over again!

I will have to watch more of them. A technical walk thru with Steve Pintar would be far more entertaining than the 40mpg ad.

You hardly even see the car in that ad, and some of the messages are hard to catch.

I actually think the one with the Lamborghini is the best one they've done. It's too long for TV but it has a great "voice" which should have set the tone for the other ads.

However, the print ads are great:

Just simple and to the point. Very grown-up too, not talking down to the audience.

Its pretty embarrasing. Maybe the ad was created by the genius who did this:

YouTube - The Chevy Volt Dance

This is what happens when 50 something MBA's from the Detroit suburbs try to appeal to younger buyers. MASSIVE FAIL
Yep, I agree 100%. Sometimes having too many MBA's in a room trying to make a product exciting results in massive fails. Probably the same ones who think a tape stripe and the word "Sport" is what the kids want in a performance car.

I did watch the Lambo ad, and it was good, but a clear take off from Top Gear. Britney Taylor also scares me since she is 46 feet tall. I thought Joel and Mandy's ad with the smart phone and their dog was really good.

So far, no calls to use any of my autocross or track footage for ads ;)
