Anyone care to list what their occupation is? I'm sure others might find it interesting.

Me? I'm a graphic designer.

Design Engineer for a commercial truck supplier. If you see a semi on the road, chances are I designed part of it. In the past I have been a Tooling Design Engineer for a camshaft manufacture, small machine and fixture designer specializing in automotive assembly and test equipment, and designed gages and fixtures for automotive suppliers.

You all a bunch of Geeks!

So after reading 37 posts on what people do, most of you are geeks!!!! Except for DFW, that's just cool! I"m definitely not a geek, but I do enjoy my job.
I"m an associate pastor @ Church in Bethesda, Couldn't ask for a better church to be working for!

but I secretly envy geeks:D

Would it help your opinion of me if I told you I finished a 2 year program at the Lay School of Ministry, and am currently studying New Testament (Koine) Greek? :) I have become one of those little helpers that our pastor likes to have around when something unexpected calls her away.

DBS,
What is your rate?
I was an ET for 5 years then an IC for 3 years.
When in Japan I worked on things I couldn't talk about either.
(Not even to myself!)
Last billet was LPO of PLAT/LENS on the KittyHawk CV63.

I am working on my Ph.D. right now in order to become an English professor. I teach writing classes at my university to get my tuition paid and get a small stipend. My husband (the Fiesta is really his car - I mostly take the train) does tech support for a company that makes insurance software.
