Quite a few reasons actually! When I got the S, I was quite sick of my Suzuki. It was an Aerio hatchback from 2006. Mileage wasn't that great, and it was a lovely gift from my dad a few years back but had to be taken to the mechanic every four to six months, each time for a different reason. I didn't like how much money was going to repairs between my dad and me, so I figured it was high time to bite the bullet and finally try buying a brand new car. In the end, the S got chosen because out of all the bare bones models in its class, it was actually the most affordable at the time (I went to a lot of dealers of a lot of different brands, and got the best deal at the dealer I settled with). Plus, it was said to have great mileage and it was cute. After wrecking it, I stuck with the Fiesta because I was very happy and impressed that the car kept me in one piece with only a few scratches. Overall very happy with Ford and the Fiesta.
