I just posted this over on FocalJet.com and didn't want you guys to miss out! Borrowing the following information from the email the club president just sent to the regional Autocross email list... I'll add an information link once info is up at wwscc.org.

TorqueSteerers is excited to announce that we will be hosting "And They're Off!", and "Photo Finish", Events 1 and 2 of the 2013 WWSCC Championship Series, sponsored by Jim's Detail Shop and Garth Vadar Motorsports. The events will be held at Emerald Downs in Auburn on Saturday March 23rd and Sunday March 24th.

You can register at the WWSCC 2013 Series Registration site.

We are very excited to return to this centrally located site after more than 10 years. We will be using parking lots 9, 10, 11 and 12 (on the north end of the site), giving us a half million square feet in which to play. The lot surface is unsealed asphalt, which provides a consistent, grippy surface.

Below is some more important information about the event. If you have any questions, please feel free to send them to me directly, and either myself or an event officer will respond (either directly or to the list.)

We are looking forward to getting the season out of the starting gate!

Enrique
TS Prez

1. Location

The address is the following:
Emerald Downs
2300 Emerald Downs Dr
Auburn, WA
Map
The event will be held at the north end of the property, lots 9, 10, 11, and 12.

2. Registration

Go to WWSCC 2013 Series Registration site to pre-register.

Allowance of double entries will be determined at the day of the event by the event chair based on attendance. More instructions on double entry procedures will be sent out at a later date.

Stock groups will run in the morning for Event 1, and in the afternoon for Event 2. More information on run groups will be posted at a later date.

3. Entry fees

Pre-registered: $30 - this site comes at a premium cost so we will be charging a slightly higher entry rate to compensate.
Non-preregistered: $35
TS Weekend Membership: $5
WWSCC driver registration fee/rulebook: $5

Payments by cash or checks will be accepted on-site.

About the TS Weekend Membership Fee
Due to its non-profit tax status, TorqueSteerers requires that all participants are members of TorqueSteerers. We offer $5 Weekend Membership, which is valid for the complete weekend (Events 1 and 2.) You will only pay this fee once for the complete weekend.

About the WWSCC Driver Registration Fee:
The Western Washington Sports Car Council collects a one-time $5 fee for all participants of the 2013 WWSCC Championship Series. This money helps defray the cost of rule books and other administrative costs. You will need to pay this fee once for the whole season.

4. Parking

Paddock parking might be a little cozy and we will have a designated parking area for those of you that are towing. We'll send out more information as the design for the course and site use becomes finalized. If you are towing please reply to me off-list so we can plan accordingly.

5. IMPORTANT: Sound Rules and Information

As you might expect, the location is close to the race horse stables at the Emerald Downs track. The horses do not repond well to loud noises, especially exessive tire squealing noise.

To ensure the safety of the race horses, Emerald Downs reserves the right to shut down the event at any time, and without any prior warning, if the horses become alarmed or get spooked by our activity at the site.

The safety of the horses (in addition to the safety all participants) at the facility is our primary concern.

In order to mitigate this, note the following:
- Do not perform any tire burnouts, squealing, or other loud tire noises in the paddock, pits, access roads, or anywhere in the vicinity of the Emerald Downs site. If you do, you will be asked to leave the site immediately.

- The SCCA sound limit of 100db (at 50ft) will be enforced at this event. We will be sending out more information to the list, but in the interim, please refer to supplemental rule 33 of the NWR-SCCA series for a description of this rule:
http://www.nwr-scca.org/solo/Supps.htm

- Any tire squealing/sound done on-course that is deemed as excessive by the event chair or any of the event officials may be deemed "unsportmanlike conduct" at this event, and as such, is grounds for disqualification and other sanctions. Please refer to rules 2.5.3 and 3.2.2 of the WWSCC Autoslalom Standards for more information.

We do not expect tire and/or engine noise to be an issue at this event, but we are counting on all attendees to help us with this issue. We cannot overemphasize how important your cooperation on this issue is to the success of this event and the continued use of this site, and we thank you in advance for your observance and help with this.

6. Other Site Rules and Information

- No alcohol or drugs on site at any time during the weekend.
- Leashed pets are allowed on-site.
- No camping or overnight parking. The nearest KOA campground is located in Kent at:
5801 S 212th St, Kent, WA; (253) 872-8652

7. Food and Social Events

We are planning on having a food truck on site for lunch, as well as having a Saturday Night Social event at a restaurant nearby. We will have more information as the time nears.
I'll add that these are the first two events of the Torque Steerers Quadruple Crown with the final two in Packwood, WA on June 29th and 30th (all 4 count!). In addition to that, they will be part of the 2013 WWSCC Championship Series that'll be about 8-10 events total this year (with 2 or 3 drops depending on the total number of events). The full WWSCC schedule should be finalized and hopefully posted in the next week or two.

Feel free to post any related questions (classing, etc.) here! I'm the Torque Steerer's Vice President, Chief of Tech and probably Chief of Sound for this event.

This has gotten a decent amount of chatter over on FocalJet. Looks like things are much quieter here for Fiestas in Western Washington. These two events are the closest events to Seattle that will be held all year! The rest are going to be in Bremerton, Packwood, Shelton, or up North (Bellingham/South BC)! If you're at all interested please come check it out!

Reminder for anybody thinking about attending: On-line Pre-Registration (saves you $5!) closes Friday, March 22, 2013 at 10:00 AM for both events this weekend!
