Disappearing Antifreeze

Was looking around under the hood and noticed that the Antifreeze level was a good 1/2 inch BELOW the Minimum mark on the reservoir .
Looked over the motor from top to bottom and don't any sign of a leak.

Hope it's not something like a head gasket leak. Going to the dealer on Monday.
Anybody else had this happen?

Checked dip stick - everything seems normal there.

I had this issue with mine, dealer told me it was a loose gear clamp. Then I pointed out that the car does not even have one gear clamp and asked if they even pressure tested it. The told me they did. I decided to bring it to my shop and pressure test it myself.. The water pump was leaking. This was at 59K so i was glad I didn't wait!
Don't you just love taking your car to a stealer.
I'm only at 36K miles so there's plenty of warranty time left.

haha ya the weird part is that the tech's there call me for diagnostic help weekly so youd think they would do the job right. Ive chalked it up to a poor service adviser not knowing what he as talking about. It may have just been a cold leak at the pump that didnt show up in a pressure test so they bs'd to get warranty time.

After Monday I'll post an update once the service department has a look at it.
Like Norm201 said, it would be good to at least have it documented.
Morning blue moon,

I can forward that concern to the Customer Service Manager in your are. Send me a PM with the VIN, current mileage as well as your personal and dealer contact info.

Just be sure that the dealer logs in your complaint even if they find nothing wrong.
Hi Norm 201,

I give a +1 for your advice. :D

Hey suprfsta,

Persistence pays off, that's all I have to say! Glad the Fiesta is fixed. If I can help with anything else, let me know.

Have a GREAT weekend everyone!
