Yeah, I re-rated in 2008 and went to Pensacola for the cryptologic technician networks schooling... the super-secret network ops stuff... we had all branches in our class, since the Navy runs the training for this stuff...Nope, pretty much all of the AF's comm folks, myself included, go through Keesler in MS. I take it you did though? How was that? We had a few Navy/Marines on base, but not many.

Good point... we get a GSA travel card and are always flying to HI, WA, Guam, and Japan... TAD and Per Diem are our livelihoodthats what i call per diem and tad lol
I listened to an Air Force guy on the "meet the feds" panel at this year's DEFCON in Vegas. His description of whet the Air Force did in respect to DoD networks was mostly BS (the Navy trains the other services and has a more impactive role in the process), but then again he WAS an officer... so I've taken a grain of salt to you guysUSAF aircraft electrician that's all i can say sorry

I'm guessing that's now what we call NCTS Yoko?That is what I did at NavComSta Japan (1971-1974) as an Electronics Tech. The Crypto equip I worked on was for TTY. This was State-of -the-Art then. It is all gone now. So what I know is obsolete, as am I.

That's what I wanted to do before I joined the Navy...I am a video editor for ABC and NBC at one of the local news stations in town.
