Windshield washer capacity?

Does anyone know the Fiesta's windshield washer tank capacity? I suppose this will have to be based on personal experience, since the capacity isn't called out in either the owner's or shop manual.

The reason I ask is that I want to put in some additive that specifies 4 oz. per gallon, but I have no idea what the capacity of the tank is. The shape is so convoluted that it's impossible to even estimate.

I was empty just the other day and had about 3/4 of a gallon left from the previous time I filled it. It took it all....barely.

So if I had to guessitmate, I would say 3/4 of a gallon.

It is just a little more than 3/4. Don't worry about additives, just use the orange rainx. But stay away from rainx wiper blades. Personally all the ones I've bought have streaked like crazy out of the package til i get rid of them.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions.

The mystery additive is RAINX. I purposley didn't mention the product at first so as to keep the discussion about the tank capacity, not about the product.

From others that I've talked with the RAINX works better the more you use it. It supposedly works its way into the pours of the glass making a "film" so to speak. If you stop using it then ordinary washer fluid negates its value. I never use it but its what I hear.

I just wish that all cars would just accept the standard 1 gal washer fluid (the blue stuff) as it comes from the store. I suppose the plastic bottle would need to be upgraded or something. Then I wouldn't have to store it. Just buy a gal when I'm out and install the whole bottle. Maybe returnable bottles like soda cans and propane tanks that can be refilled or recycled. As it is the bottles we buy it in only get thrown out.;)

I have never run my washer bottle dry. So I am not concerned with the capacity.
I just top it up every so often when I am checking things under the hood.

As far as Rain X, I have alays used the type that you apply to the windshield with a soft cloth.
Never tried the washer addative, maybe I should.
My worst problem is getting and keeping the inside of the windshield clean.
